On December 5, 2025, within the framework of the Republican Reporting and Election Conference of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, a solemn ceremony of awarding the honorary title of Ambassador of UNESCO Clubs of Kazakhstan was held. This high award was awarded to the Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, silver medalist of the Olympic Games in 2024 and three-time Asian champion Nariman Kurbanov, recognized as a symbol of determination, perseverance and professional skills in gymnastics. Nariman is not just an athlete, he is an inspiration to thousands of young Kazakhstanis.

“It is a great joy and responsibility for me to become a UNESCO Club Ambassador. I am full of ideas for the development of sports projects for the youth of Kazakhstan and I am sure that together with the Federation we will be able to inspire the new generation to achieve and an active lifestyle, said Nariman Kurbanov, Ambassador of UNESCO Clubs of Kazakhstan.

In addition, on this day, four bright representatives of the arts, media and music, who also received the honorary status of Messenger, took to the stage:
Aigerim Karibayeva – artist and founder of the art brand @art aika, winner of the national project “100 New Faces of Kazakhstan” (2021)
• Sayan Baigaliyev is an artist and sculptor, a graduate of Surikov Moscow State Academy of Arts, winner of the Jackson’s Painting Prize (London, 2021), participant of the Forbes 30under30 program, resident of Open Studios Winzavod (2023).
• Mahabbat Yesen – journalist, TV and radio presenter, media manager, influencer and excellent media of RK
• Galymzhan Narymbetov – founder and soloist of the ensemble “GN Septet”, excellent student of the sphere of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, teacher of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy, member of the World Association of Bayanists-accordionists, owner of the “Pride of the Nation” sign and mentor of the instrumental nomination of the International Youth Festival THE PLANET OF ART.

The title of Ambassador of UNESCO Clubs of Kazakhstan is an official status assigned within the framework of the statutory activities of the Federation. It is awarded for a period of two years with a possible extension, subject to the active participation of the Envoy in the implementation of the values and programs of the movement. Given that the UNESCO Club Movement is among the four categories of official partners of UNESCO, the status of the Ambassador of UNESCO Clubs of Kazakhstan is particularly high, awarded by recognized leaders of public influence and cultural diplomacy.

The decision to award this title is taken collectively at the General Meeting of Members of the Federation, which currently includes 237 UNESCO Clubs from all regions of the country. Representatives of the National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO and the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty also take part in the discussion and approval of candidates, which emphasizes the high level of responsibility and importance of this decision.

Thus, the status of the Envoy is not a symbolic recognition, but a real mission and trust given to people whose professional activities, personal values and social position correspond to the humanitarian ideals of UNESCO. Envoys become official representatives of the movement, able by their example to inspire society, support cultural, educational and youth initiatives and contribute to the development of the country at the national and international level
