Activity
The main mission of Public Association “Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs” is to promote the ideals of UNESCO, first of all, unity, tolerance, goodness, as well as a sense of responsibility for spreading the ideas of peace.
Objectives:
· promotion of a peaceful society development based on the solidarity principles through education, science and culture with the aim of global compliance of justice, laws, human rights and fundamental freedoms of people from the whole world for the purpose of cultural equality without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, nationality, language or religion;
· dissemination of the ideals and principles of UNESCO in the field of interethnic communication in order to increase mutual understanding among people of different cultural backgrounds;
· promotion of science and technology application for peaceful purposes and welfare of mankind;
· upbringing of children and young people as real citizens of their country with an active lifestyle.

The status of the First Kazakhstan UNESCO Club was assigned to the School of Fine Arts and Technical Design named after A. Kasteev in 2005, and then having 6 UNESCO Clubs in arsenal in the cities of Almaty, Astana, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Shakhtinsk and Shymkent, the National UNESCO Federation of UNESCO Clubs has been founded in April 2009. Today, there are 155 UNESCO Clubs operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan with a total number of members of over 14,000 people.
The Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs is actively working to promote and develop UNESCO programs in Kazakhstan. An important area of the Federation’s work is the establishment of partnerships with other National Federations, Clubs, Centers and UNESCO Associations around the world through educational and training programs and seminars on issues within the scope of UNESCO activities, as well as projects for the exchange of professional, scientific and cultural experience among children, youth and adults.
