On July 22-23, 2023, the Second International UNESCO Model on "World Heritage" took place at UN building in Almaty. This significant event was held under the patronage of UNESCO and brought together 34 young delegates representing 20 countries, who showcased their unique skills and profound knowledge about World Heritage.

The main goal of the project was to enhance youth engagement in global dialogue and knowledge exchange on the key priorities of UNESCO programs.

President of the Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO Mr. Bolat Akchulakov, noted in his welcoming speech: "Our Federation is always delighted to initiate such dialogue platforms in Kazakhstan with the aim to strengthen international cooperation among young people in the preservation and promotion of the world's natural and cultural heritage, which is one of the factors for achieving sustainable development and teaching future generations the right values."

At the same time, Acting Director of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty, Mr. Amir Pirich, emphasized the importance of preparing young heritage professionals at the national and regional levels. He noted that these specialists will support the efforts of Central Asian State-Parties in the management, protection, and promotion of World Heritage sites, as well as in preparing new nominations for the inclusion of these sites on the World Heritage list.

At the end of the first day's program, the following winners were determined in the categories:
