Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO announces the launch of a Creative arts competition on the theme "Protection of water resources" within the framework of the National Social Eco-Campaign "SUSTAINABLE PATH". This initiative will provide an opportunity for each participant to express their thoughts, ideas and emotions on the importance of conservation, sustainable use and restoration of water resources through visual, decorative, applied and photographic art.
“Sustainable path” is an educational initiative aimed at nurturing the younger generation of a mindful attitude to their native land through the inculcation of cultural, moral and environmental values. This program is the fourth cycle and a logical continuation of previously successfully implemented programs.
The competition is open to participants aged 12 to 35 years from all regions of Kazakhstan. Participation in the contest is free of charge.
Applications are accepted until October 30. You can read the rules of the creative arts competition “Sustainable Path” and register here.
The main goal of the competition is to help raise public awareness about the problems of water resources, focusing on their vulnerability and the importance of reasonable consumption, as well as educating young people by promoting environmental culture and popularizing the Sustainable Development Goals.
The competition is held in three categories:
- Visual arts nomination – “BIODIVERSITY AND THE FUTURE OF THE WATER WORLD”
- Applied arts nomination – “THE FORM OF WATER IN ART”
- Nomination of graphic design and photography – "GRAPHICS OF WATER HARMONY"
Based on the successful experience of the past years, the organizers are confident that this project is able to really contribute to the achievement of the UN global Sustainable Development Goals, while supporting different categories of residents of Kazakhstan – from children and youth to active entrepreneurs. This project stands as an integral part of the country's endeavor to enhance its environmental conditions and make strides toward a greener future.
The project is being implemented jointly with the Association of Business Women in Almaty with the support of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ICESCO, the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty and the city hall of Almaty.
