On August 27, 2024 in Almaty the award ceremony for the winners and the opening of the exhibition of the finalists' works of the Creative Competition "Protection of Ice Massifs" took place within the 5th anniversary cycle of the National Social Eco-Campaign TURAQTY JOL.
The event highlighted the importance of preserving ice masses and raised public awareness about this critical environmental issue. The competition sought to inspire young artists to express their perspectives on glacier melting through various forms of art.
"I would like to highlight the unique atmosphere of the award ceremony within the TURAQTY JOL, which brought together talented people who are not indifferent to the future of our planet. I sincerely thank the Federation of Clubs for UNESCO in Kazakhstan and partners for promoting the platform that allows us to express ourselves and contribute to environmental protection. I am sure that the presented works have become a source of inspiration and a call to action. It is important to remember that each of us is an artist of our future, and projects such as TURAQTY JOL give us the necessary tools to create it," said the winner of the art nomination Dauleti Adilet.
During the ceremony, winners in three categories were awarded: visual arts "Arctic Artist", applied arts "Ice Symphony” and photography "Ice Landscapes in Motion". Additionally, the works of the competition finalists, which reflect their creative approach to the theme of ice massifs protection and contemporary environmental challenges were presented.
