The Second International UNESCO Model under the patronage of UNESCO

Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO initiates the Second International UNESCO Model. This event was granted for UNESCO’s patronage with a topic “World Heritage”, which is in line with the mission of UNESCO. The Second International UNESCO Model is a platform where pupils and students aged 16 to 22 will recreate the meeting of World Heritage Committee. All participants will act as representatives of their countries and will be able to propose objects for inclusion in the list of World Heritage sites. Before the final meeting in Almaty, Kazakhstan all selected participants will be proposed an on-line webinars with accreted experts from the UNESCO World Heritage Center. The event will include 3 sessions, at one of which participants will propose their objects for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List, ask each other questions and vote for objects to be included in the resolution. The final session of the UNESCO Model (July 22, 2023) will be the Resolution creation and announcement of the best delegations in the nominations «Best Delegation», «Best Speaker», «Best Presentation». Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kazakhstan, near the city of Almaty. Applications will be accepted until April 15, and the organizers also conduct selections among the participants. TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION, participants must knowingly send an introductory video in which the following criteria must be taken into account: do a little research about the World Heritage sites in their country; 30 seconds to tell about the composition of delegation, 1 minute 30 seconds to tell about participants’ country and UNESCO World Heritage sites in their country, 30 minutes to tell about why participants want to participate in the Second International UNESCO Model under the patronage of UNESCO.
