The Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs in cooperation with the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy announces the start of accepting applications (from February 15 to July 1, 2020) for the art cycle of the International Festival under the auspices of UNESCO “The Planet of ART-2020”.


In 2020, the Festival is dedicated to the memory of the unsurpassed scientist-thinker Abu-Nasr al-Farabi and the great poet of the Kazakh people – Abai Kunanbayev on the occasion of the celebration of their anniversaries at the state and international levels.

Students of children’s art schools, art schools, art studios, initiative representatives of partner organizations and UNESCO Clubs around the world are invited to show their vision for the formation of the” Second Teacher ” – Al-Farabi and the founder of Kazakh written literature A. Kunanbayev on the basis of their works and works in the following categories:

Nominations dedicated to the legacy of Abu Nasr al-Farabi:
1. ” The World of Al-Farabi»;
2. ” The idea of a virtuous city»;
3. ” Harmony of music»;
Nominations dedicated to the legacy of Abay Kunanbayev:
1. ” The Way of Abai»;
2. ” The Eternal World of Poetry»;
3. ” The wisdom of the words of edification.”

According to the results of the competition, 150 finalists of the project will be determined, who will receive an invitation to the final in the city of Almaty. They will be presented with a rich educational and cultural program. The culmination of the Festival will be the release and presentation of the thematic album “Thinkers of the Great Steppe” at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in France in Paris during the official events to celebrate the memorable dates mentioned above. In addition, as part of the award ceremony for finalists from all regions of the country, a mobile exhibition of the best works will be held in the regional centers of Kazakhstan.
