International Festival The Planet of ART-2020
Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs in cooperation with the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy announcing the call for applications (from February 15 to July 1) for the International Festival under the auspices of UNESCO “The Planet of ART-2020”.
In 2020, the International Festival under the auspices of UNESCO “The Planet of Art” is dedicated to the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of the scientist and philosopher Abu Nasr al-Farabi and the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev.
Students of children’s art schools, art studios, initiative representatives of partner organizations and UNESCO Clubs around the world are invited to show their visions on the legacy of the “the Second Teacher” after Aristotle – Al-Farabi and the formation and development of Abai Kunanbayev – founder of the kazakh written culture based on their works on the following nominations:
- Nominations on heritage of Abu Nasr al-Farabi:
- 1. The world of Al-Farabi;
- 2. The concept of the virtuous cities;
- 3. The harmony of the music.
- Nominations on heritage of Abai Kunanbayev:
- 1. The path of Abai;
- 2. Eternal world of the poetry;
- 3. The wisdom of the “Book of words”.
According to the results of the competition, 150 finalists of the project will be determined from participating countries will be invited to the Festival’s final stage to Almaty, where they will be engaged in a rich educational and cultural program.
As the culmination of “The Planet of ART – 2020” will be organized the release and presentation of the album “The Thinkers of the Great Steppe” at at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in France (Paris) during official events to celebrate the aforementioned memorable dates. In addition, a mobile exhibition of the best selected artworks will be held in the regional centers of Kazakhstan as part of the award ceremony for finalists from all regions of the country.
