International Children's Art Festival «Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa»
Since 1990, the Asia-Pacific Federation of UNESCO Clubs and the Japanese National Federation of UNESCO Associations, with the support of the Mitsubishi Public Relations Committee, have been holding the Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki Festa International Asian Children’s Art Festival.
This competition is intended to support the UNESCO program in the field of culture and education, and is also aimed at establishing and maintaining interethnic understanding and exchange of experience through children’s creativity. Since 2008, the Republic of Kazakhstan has been a member state of the project. In Kazakhstan, the competition is held with the support of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty, the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Almaty.
Children from 6 to 12 years old can take part in the competition. The “ENIKKI” diary created by the participants provides an opportunity to tell children from all over Asia about the life of their peers in Kazakhstan, demonstrating the culture, national traditions and customs of our country. Based on the results of the meeting of the national selection committee, 8 finalists are determined, who are awarded valuable prizes and gifts. And the Grand Prix winner from each country will be invited to the official awards ceremony and cultural and educational program in Japan.
