In the city of Almaty, as part of the celebration of the Year of Youth, the closing ceremony and the final Gala Concert of the finalists of the “II Academy of Creativity of UNESCO Clubs” were held.

 

 

The unique project, which took place from June 18 to 28, was aimed at developing and supporting the talented youth of our country in order to educate the younger generation in the spirit of tolerance and form the future creative potential of the state.


The event covered more than 1,000 participants aged 12-17 years from 14 regions of Kazakhstan, as well as the cities of Astana and Almaty. Within 10 days, 100 lucky winners who became finalists of the Academy held master classes in the creative areas of vocal, visual, musical and choreographic art with the leading teachers of the Kazakh National Conservatory. Kurmangazy and the Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts.


In addition, every day the participants were immersed in the topic of “Global Citizenship”, attending additional trainings and lectures on intercultural dialogue and rapprochement of cultures.


The result of more than 80 hours of intensive classes at the Academy was the final Gala concert and exhibition of works by students of the art department, where young talents impressed the guests with their versatile talent.

Kurmangazy Aubakirova Zhania Yahiyaevna: “Such initiatives supported by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Federation of UNESCO Clubs amaze with their scale and professionalism, and also do not leave indifferent all the creative intelligentsia of our country, since the contribution to today’s youth is an indisputable contribution to the development of the future of Kazakhstan.”


It is worth noting that the “Academy of Creativity” is exclusively social in nature and all expenses related to the participants ‘ stay on the project are covered by the organizers for the second year in a row. All that was necessary to participate in the competition was to be a member of one of the UNESCO Clubs in Kazakhstan, to have talent and motivation for further development. For the first time, the event was held in 2016 in Astana. Thanks to the large-scale coverage and success, the Academy has become traditional and is held on an annual basis.


The project is organized by the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs and the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-the Leader of the Nation. The co-organizers were the Kazakh National Conservatory. Kurmangazy Kazakh national Academy of Arts. Zhurgenov with the broad support of the Ministry of culture and sports of Kazakhstan, Almaty city administration, the National Commission of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO, UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty, and companies “total Exploration and Extraction of Kazakhstan” Caspian Projects Supply Company.


It is noteworthy that the event was timed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s accession to UNESCO and the founding of the National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO, as well as the 70th anniversary of the creation of the UNESCO Club Movement, and was held as part of the “Year of Youth of Almaty”.
