The International Youth Forum “Youth Leading for Peace”, dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Confidence and the International Day of Action against Nuclear Tests, as well as the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 30th Anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.

The aim of the forum is to engage all of the participants in an open and constructive dialogue about nuclear weapons and nuclear testings, to draw the attention of the younger generation to the existence of nuclear test sites in the world and to strengthen the culture of peace and to understand the value of unity, harmony and mutual respect.

The first stage of our forum starts from the video presentation of the reports, in which the delegation should provide its report on the official position of their country regarding nuclear weapons or nuclear tests. Delegations will have to consider their country’s position through the prism of four main areas: economic, environmental, security and humanitarian (social).
