
In February, the art school of Shakhtinsk was visited by representatives of the secretariat of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs (KazFUCA) Anna Pimenova, national coordinator for the development of UNESCO Clubs, and Assel Rabat, a specialist in working with clubs.
KazFUCA has declared 2013 the Year of UNESCO Clubs in Kazakhstan. The Shakhty Art School was at the origin of the development of the club movement and actively promoted the ideals and principles of this organization. The result of the work was the assignment of the status of “UNESCO Club” to the art schools of the cities of Satpayev, Balkhash, DSHI No. 2 of Karaganda. In January of this year, at a meeting of the Board of KazFUCA, the head of the Shakhty Club, Abdygalikov Shahmurat Kabildaevich, was awarded a diploma for effective activities in creating a network of UNESCO Clubs in the region. Our school is not only a regular participant, but also a coordinator of the regional selection rounds of KazFUCA children’s art projects in the Karaganda region. During the visit, the guests discussed with the school management the upcoming competitions ” Children draw the world. Central Asia” and “Enikki Festa”, the republican environmental plein-air master class” The Earth is our common home”, promising projects, and also got acquainted with the club’s reporting documentation. For young activists, Anna Pimenova conducted classes, during which the children received extensive information about the activities of UNESCO and the role of the club movement, identified the main areas of work and projects for further implementation and protection at the Leaders ‘ Meeting “The Future begins today!” in Astana. The school has been working for many years to create an art space in Shakhtinsk under the program “Shahar-the city of dreams”, and it is not by chance that the activists chose this project. Shakhty residents can see the results of this activity on the example of the park sculpture “Bars”, installed on the street 40 years of Victory, wall paintings in educational institutions, topiary” Kobyz ” on the station territory. Students and teachers do not want to stop there, but offer to develop further work on the artistic improvement of their native city. At the end of the visit, the guests had a meeting with the head of the city Department of Education, Physical Culture and Sports, N. V.Onsovich, who presented the representatives of the KazFUCA secretariat with a Letter of Thanks for cooperation and methodological assistance to the UNESCO Art School –Club of Shakhtinsk.
