Astana hosted the closing ceremony of the international festival “Children are painting the world. Central Asia»
ASTANA. KAZINFORM – AT the Nazarbayev Center held the official closing ceremony of the international festival “Children are painting the world. Central Asia”.
The ceremony began with congratulations from the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, which was read out by the Executive Secretary of the Ministry Kuatzhan Ualiyev.
“I am sure that this festival will continue to make an invaluable contribution to the inter-civilizational dialogue, the spread of universal values through the rapprochement of cultures,” A. Mukhamediuly said in his congratulatory message.
The festival was attended by about 700 children from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan. At the closing ceremony, 150 of them were invited, who received, in addition to the certificate of participation, albums with reproductions of the best works submitted to the festival, and memorable gifts.
The festival “Children are painting the world. Kazakhstan”, as a republican event, has been held since 1999. Since 2010, the geography of participants has expanded, now children from Kazakhstan and post-Soviet Central Asian countries participate in it. The festival has received the status of a regular UNESCO sub-regional event in Central Asia. Participants of the art competition can be anyone from three to 18 years old.
