5th anniversary of the UNESCO Federation of Clubs

The official ceremony of celebrating the 5th anniversary of the UNESCO Federation of Clubs will be held on April 26, 2014 in the Zhambyl Concert Hall of the Kazakh National University of Arts (Astana).

Since its foundation in 2009, the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs (KazFUSA) has been actively working to promote the values of UNESCO in Kazakhstan. To date, there are 31 UNESCO Clubs in the Republic of Kazakhstan with a total number of more than 3,000 people.


The goal of KAZFU is to build a peaceful society through education, science and culture for the further universal observance of justice, laws, human rights and cultural equality without discrimination on racial, sexual, national, linguistic or religious grounds.


From April 23 to 26, a meeting of the Leaders of UNESCO Clubs will be held in Astana within the framework of the project “The Future begins today!”. The agenda includes: a role-playing game “Mini Model of UNESCO”, a series of trainings on the development of leadership and creative potential of participants, as well as excursions to the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana. The main purpose of the Rally is to activate the role of the younger generation of our country and strengthen its civil and cultural consciousness.


During the meeting, a training on the evaluation of UNESCO Clubs ‘ projects will be organized, followed by a project fair “The World we want” to present and further implement initiatives in the areas of interest. The culmination of the project will be a solemn ceremony of celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs. The event will be attended by young leaders in the number of 112 participants from all UNESCO Clubs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs Bolat Akchulakov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, Representative of the UNESCO Office in Almaty Yuri Peshkov.
